We are urgently hiring experienced Electro-Mechanical Assemblers on behalf of our client, a leading provider of engineering and contract manufacturing services.
Job Description:
As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will play a critical role in the assembly and fabrication of complex assemblies. You will work from written instructions, including bills of materials, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings, to ensure the accurate and efficient completion of products. This role requires 2+ years experience as and EM Assembler, strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interface effectively with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work from detailed written instructions to perform assembly operations using a bill of materials, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Assemble and fabricate assemblies using company-supplied hand and power tools.
- Interface with Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to meet assembly requirements, workmanship standards, and customer product specifications.
- Collaborate with customers to learn new product builds and transfer knowledge to other assemblers.
- Assemble electrical panels and electrical boxes, troubleshooting as required.
- Conduct final assembly, functionality testing, hi pot testing, and final calibration.
- Prepare point-to-point wiring according to wire run-lists and diagrams in large electrical panels.
- Integrate sub-assemblies, electrical panels, chassis, power supplies, and connecting cables.
- Inspect and calibrate final products as needed.
- Utilize tools such as calipers and micrometers to perform assembly processes.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required; technical school preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to the highest standards of quality.
- Experience with PC hardware, software installation, and configuration.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to offer solutions.
- Experience with complex panels, multiple components, and large wire run lists.
- Experience working on large-scale capital equipment is a plus.
