Exciting Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant(SLPA) Opportunity in Oklahoma City, OK

A school district in Oklahoma City, OKis committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team and support students with speech and language needs. As an SLPA, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals, including speech-language pathologists (SLPs), educators, and other specialists, to help students achieve their communication goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Conduct therapy sessions with individual and small groups of students.
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist in the development of treatment materials and activities.
  • Support students in improving speech and language skills in areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension, and social communication.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment.
  • Provide updates and communicate with parents as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all district policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Required:Oklahoma State licensure/certification as an SLPA (if applicable).
  • Previous experience working with children in a school or clinical setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Passion for helping students overcome communication challenges.
