Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting monthly and annual close processes, and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax filings and liaise with external auditors during audits.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing training and technical support as needed.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
  • CPA certification (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
