Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder proficient in MIG welding to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be capable of multitasking between welding and other fabrication tasks, working from engineering drawings and Bill of Materials to fabricate and weld components. This role requires the ability to adjust welding equipment for various steel thicknesses and operate a range of tools and machinery, including grinders, drills, hand/power tools, overhead cranes, and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on various components.
• Switch between welding tasks and other fabrication duties as needed.
• Work from engineering drawings and Bill of Materials to fabricate and weld components.
• Adjust welding settings to accommodate varying steel thicknesses.
• Operate welder, grinder, drill, hand/power tools, and measuring devices.
• Operate overhead crane and forklift, if certified.
• Perform basic straight line welding in the Panel Welding department.
• Execute vertical, horizontal, and overhead welding in the Tank Welding department.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with fabrication processes.
• Certification in forklift operation (if applicable).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• D1-1 certification required for Tank Welders.
• D1-3 certification is a bonus for Tank Welders.
• Experience with heavy gauge and galvanized steel.

Work Environment

Our facility operates across different shifts. Panel Welders will work in the Marlin Building on the 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM + OT). Tank Welders will work at our North location with two available shifts: 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM + OT) and 3rd Shift (6:00 PM – 2:30 AM + OT). The work environment is clean, and all necessary tools will be provided. During the summer, the facility is kept ventilated with open doors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.45
