Currently hiring a Manual Machinist in the Frankfort, IL area. Hiring immediately.

Pay: $21-$30/HR

Shift: 1st shift. (7AM-3:30PM). OT available, must be open to work occasional Saturday.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in machining brackets, fixtures, and other pieces for food processing machinery. You will be responsible for operating mills, lathes, saws, presses, grinders, and performing lock out tag out procedures on machinery.

  • 3+ years of experience as a manual machinist
  • Machining brackets, fixtures and other pieces for the food processing machinery
  • Operating mills, lathes, saws, presses, grinders, etc.
  • Performing lock out tag out procedures on machinery
  • Fabricating parts based on blueprints and sketches
  • Must be able to create basic drawings by hand
  • Performing set ups on all machinery
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
  • Inspect and verify parts by using precision gages including micrometers & calipers, dial indicators
  • Experience conducting equipment checks and maintenance at proper intervals

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with manual machining (Mills and lathes)
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and sketches
  • Experience using micrometers and calipers
