Sumner - Forklift Operator

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator with stand-up forklift experience to join our team. This is a go-to-work position with minimal training required, where you will be responsible for handling freight and operating forklifts to ensure the smooth flow of goods in our warehouse.
Responsibilities- Operate stand-up forklifts to load and unload freight from containers.
- Palletize and perform quality checks on products.
- Lift 50-75 lbs. regularly and occasionally lift up to 120 lbs. with assistance.
- Understand the supply chain process by offloading for the first few days.
- Cover shortages of freight handlers as needed.
- Utilize RF scanners to cross-reference and check for accuracy.
- Successfully pass and complete a forklift test prior to the first day.
- 6+ months of stand-up forklift experience.
- Cross-dock experience in warehousing.
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. repeatedly and occasionally lift 120 lbs. with assistance.
- Attention to detail with reading numbers.
- Willingness to unload/load trucks for the entirety of the shift.
- Previous experience operating Crown Electric standup loader/cherry picker/stand up reach forklift.
- Previous experience operating various styles of sit-down forklifts.

Work EnvironmentYou will be working in an expeditors warehouse with products stacked on racks in the middle of the facility and dock doors surrounding the outside. The warehouse has medium-sized teams (10+ employees), and forklifts are constantly moving throughout the facility and in/out of containers. The environment is fast-paced with various forklifts and hand stacking required.
