Payroll Specialist

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a contract for a Payroll Specialist position based in Lombard, Illinois. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our organization's operations by managing all aspects related to payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and manage full-cycle payroll procedures
• Update payroll records by recording necessary changes such as insurance coverage, loan payments, and salary increases
• Collaborate with the HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll procedures
• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and errors in a timely and efficient manner
• Generate and distribute statements of earnings and deductions to employees
• Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations and guidelines
• Prepare detailed payroll reports of earnings, hours worked, taxes, insurance, etc.
• Manage the onboarding and offboarding process of employees in relation to payroll
• Maintain accurate and complete records related to payroll
• Review and verify source documents for accuracy before processing payroll
• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline payroll processes and increase efficiency.• Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Payroll Specialist role or similar.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory for this position.
• Candidates should have a strong understanding and experience in Accounting Functions.
• Experience in Auditing is required for this role.
• Applicants should have knowledge and experience in Benefit Functions.
• Familiarity with Local Payroll Tax is a key requirement for this role.
