Aerotek is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician (direct-hire) on the day shift for a food processing plant.

The maintenance technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment such as slicers, conveyor systems, extruders,

fillers, labelers, thermoform and tray sealing packaging systems, X-ray, metal detectors, and other equipment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance of production equipment such as meat stuffers, grinders, vacuum sealers, flow wrappers, vertical baggers, rotary pouches, automated slicers, tray sealers, and other equipment found in a meat processing and slicing facility.
  • Work from and enter required information into a maintenance database (CMMS) in a timely manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on facility utility systems.
  • Willing to work overtime as required at times.
  • Willing to help cover days off for other members of the maintenance team.

Essential

Skills

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a food processing setting.
  • Knowledge of PLC and electrical troubleshooting and servo drivers
  • Skilled in diagnosing problems with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Skilled in electrical troubleshooting of control circuits and able to work safely with single and three-phase voltages up to 480 volts.
  • Experience in basic welding repairs
  • Experience repairing and replacing mechanical drive components including bearings, chains, sprockets, and gear reducers.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • TIG welding experience, especially with stainless steel and aluminum is a plus
  • Experience with Italian or German manufacturing equipment is a plus
  • 2 year technical degree or related certifications or training is a plus
  • Experience in a food production facility.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in tight spaces or on platforms.
  • Desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a team-based and fast-paced environment.

Shift 6:00am - 3:00pm Mon-Friday + Overtime: (Possible OT up to 10 hours per week).

Pay: $33-36/ hour /, might be some flexibility of paying more DOE. Direct-hire not a contract-to-hire

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $68556.00 - $74880.00
