Schedule: Weekend shift (Friday - Sunday)
Hours: 5:00 am to 5:30 pm
****MUST BE ABLE TO TRAIN MONDAY-THURSDAY 1st SHIFT FOR FIRST SEVERAL WEEKS
Pay: $23/hour + $5 Shift Differential = $28.00/hour
What will you be doing?
- Responsible for producing quality products per the build schedule
- Operate injection molding machines to produce parts meeting quality specifications.
- Perform secondary processing operations according to work instructions.
- Maintain quality of products produced according to department standards and visual or dimensional specifications.
- Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects.
- Meet productivity standards.
- Record and maintain quality or traceability information.
- Record and maintain Cell Boards and other visual management tools
- Comply with company safety policies including safe operation of equipment, PPE usage, hand tool safety, lock-out-tag-out, and proper storage of tools, etc.
- Comply with good housekeeping policies.
- Maintain equipment according to work instructions or preventive maintenance tasks.
- Suggest improvements and support kaizen and DBS activities.
- Report complicated equipment malfunctions to mechanics.
- Participate in team meetings, which include planning daily work and resource utilization, problem solving, project work, etc.
- Maintain visual management of part and raw material storage; clean and organized work area.
- May be required to cross-train on other equipment or other areas as needed
- Assist in problem solving of new equipment and products.
- May be responsible for handling of and accurate disposal of chemical and non-chemical waste, some of which is hazardous and regulated.
What do you bring?
- HS Diploma/GED
- Previous Manufacturing Experience is a plus but not necessary
- Manual dexterity and good coordination
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Mechanical ability or aptitude
- Operate injection molding machines
- Ability to pass 7 year background check and drug screen
- Good attitude and desire to learn
