Certified Medical Assistant

Certiifed Medical Assistant needed for Frederick. 8am-6pm Monday through Friday.
Job Description
- Oversee and ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms.
- Maintain exam rooms in a neat and clean manner at all times.
- Comply with patient needs at all times.
- Escort patients from waiting room to examination rooms and Prep patients for exams and medical procedures.
- Remove dressings, casts, etc., and provide patients with gowns as necessary.
- Ensure patient charts contain all pertinent information and are placed in designated areas for Physicians' use.
- Record, manage, and update patient information and medical histories in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform venipunctures and injections.
- Clean and sanitize tools and equipment daily.
- Administer throat cultures, nasal culture, STD testing and urinalyses and other tests as ordered under the supervision of the medical Provider.
- Ensured cleanliness and order of triage facilities in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Alert Physicians of patients' allergies prior to beginning exams.
- Assist Physicians with injections, aspirations, castings and/or other procedures as necessary.
- Monitor supply levels, and replace as needed.
- Instruct patients regarding information needed once they leave the office to include:
- Use of braces or crutches
- Medication usage
- Home exercise programs
- Photocopy information given to patients, and place copies in appropriate charts.
- Apply knowledge of sterile techniques, Specimen collections and OSHA regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifiations:
- Two plus years CMA experience required, must be recent.
- National Certification required
- BLS/CPR
- Epic experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills required
