Overview: Join ProCare Therapy's team at Kansas City Public Schools as a School Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the social and emotional well-being of our students. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled professional who is committed to fostering a positive school environment and empowering students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective intervention strategies and support plans for students.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with special needs or circumstances.
- Advocate for students' rights and access to resources both within the school and in the community.
- Organize and facilitate workshops and programs on topics such as bullying prevention, conflict resolution, and mental health awareness, etc.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress.
- Manage a caseload between 14-30 students.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited program.
- State licensure or certification as a School Social Worker (if required).
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of child development, behavioral interventions, and therapeutic techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to promoting equity, inclusion, and social justice within the school community.

Interview Process
- 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter
- 20-30 minute virtual/in-person interview with school district
- Offer is typically within 24 hours of virtual interview
