Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - New Orleans, LA
Location: New Orleans, LA
Start Date: December 2, 2024
End Date: March 31, 2025
Caseload: Pre-K to 8th grade (with some self-contained ASD students)
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week (8:00 AM 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break)

Youll work with a diverse caseload of students from Pre-K to 8th grade, including self-contained ASD students. Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to students in Pre-K through 8th grade
  • Work primarily with older students (grades 4-8) with a focus on ASD and communication disorders
  • Assist with therapy for younger students in Pre-K and K as needed
  • Develop and implement individual treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to support students' success in the classroom
  • Document progress and participate in IEP meetings

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Louisiana SLP License
  • Experience with ASD and school-based therapy (preferred)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Position Details:

  • Classroom: Pre-K to 8th grade, with a focus on older students and some younger student support
  • Hours per Week: Full-Time, 37.5 hours
  • Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience

  • Contract Duration: December 2, 2024 - March 31, 2025, with potential to extend
