Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering an opportunity for a Paralegal to join our team in the Chemicals Manufacturing industry, based in Walnut Creek, California. This role involves a range of responsibilities, including insurance risk management, contract administration, and corporate governance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee various aspects of insurance risk management, including the development and implementation of the organization's insurance program.
• Lead the annual policy renewal process for diverse insurance policies, such as commercial, employment, and environmental policies.
• Serve as the primary liaison for the company's insurance broker and carrier and between the company's business units for insurance claims.
• Analyze significant contract requirements and special terms to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Prepare and review routine agreements and contract documents, such as distribution and supply agreements, master services agreements, and statements of work.
• Assist in managing, communicating, and enforcing the company's Record Retention Policy.
• Support the maintenance of corporate entity compliance, including jurisdictional qualifications to do business and withdrawals, and annual reporting management.
• Update and maintain a corporate entity management database.
• Liaise with external service providers in different jurisdictions to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Work on special projects and initiatives as part of the legal department team.• Must possess a thorough understanding of Corporate Governance
• Ability to handle Contract Administration tasks effectively
• Experience in dealing with Insurance related legal matters
• Proficiency in handling Regulatory Filings, including preparation, submission, and follow-up
• Experience with SEC filings, including form preparation and submission
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Law or related field required
• Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is a plus
• Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must possess strong problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must have a strong ethical standard and integrity
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and changes in law.
