Eastridge is hiring an experienced and dependable Order Picker for the fastest growing supplier in natural and specialty baking and pastry ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently hand select orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer.Approximately 75% of workday will be spent in Freezer environment.
• Stack product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures (for example, no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.).
• Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to transport product.
• Stage pallets in organized fashion.
• Follow sanitation requirements in order to comply with policy set forth by the Company.
• Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack.
• Frequently lift product that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches; constantly bend and twist while operating a pallet jack, retrieving items from lower shelf areas.Heavy ladder work required.
• Shrink-wrap product on loading dock.
• Perform various post-shift duties that could include: Clearing aisles of all debris, returning pallet jack to charging area, and hook up jack for battery charging. Clean up any spills and places damaged product in recoup area. Complete any related paperwork.
• Assist Receiving team with stocking and receiving products, rotating products and other receiving responsibilities as required to prepare for picking.
• Participate in sanitation and audit projects as required.

Qualifications

• Must have dependable night-time availability and flexible schedule requirements.
• Work in cold temperatures as low as -10 below zero
• Requires completion of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Two Years of previous warehouse experience.
• Ability to read and understand the English language.
• Applicants must possess basic mathematical reasoning skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and physically challenging environment.
• Must be available to work night shifts.
• Adapt schedule to work alongside the changing demands of the warehouse.
• Must have reliable transportation.
