Overview:We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team at ProCare Therapy and make a significant impact on students speech and language development As an integral member of our school organization, you will work with various caseloads to assess/treat various speech and language disorders. Responsibilities:
- Conducting preliminary screenings and assessments under the supervision of an SLP to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- Helping to implement therapy plans developed by SLPs, which may involve individual or group sessions with students.
- Observing and documenting students' progress during therapy sessions and reporting back to the SLP.
- Assisting in providing reinforcement activities and exercises that reinforce speech and language goals set by the SLP.
- Collaborating with teachers and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities and routines.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to therapy sessions and student progress.
- Communicating with parents or guardians regarding student progress and strategies for supporting speech and language development at home.
- Preparing and organizing materials and equipment needed for therapy sessions.
- Ensuring adherence to legal and ethical guidelines, as well as school district policies, related to the provision of speech-language services.
Qualifications:
- Valid North CarolinaState SLPA license
- Desire to work in pediatrics and make a difference.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
