Location: Bayonne, NJ Area

Position: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

Grade Level: 4th Grade (Resource Classroom)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student growth and development.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning and progress.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to meet each students unique needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievements.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Valid New Jersey Special Education Teaching Certification.
  • Previous experience working with 4th grade students with special needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
