Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage and maintain the financial records of our business. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day financial transactions, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and provide accurate and timely financial reports. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in accounting software and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Recording Transactions: Accurately record sales, invoices, expenses, purchases, and payments.
Managing Accounts: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and employee expense claims.
Financial Reporting: Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Tax Compliance: Complete and file tax forms in collaboration with accountants to ensure compliance with all tax obligations.
Payment Processing: Handle bill payments, vendor invoices, and payroll preparation.
Client Communication: Maintain timely and professional communication with clients regarding financial matters and updates.
Skills and Qualifications:
In-depth understanding of tax obligations and reporting requirements.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in English and in MS Office applications.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus.
