Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing

Build your experience and make a difference, all whileearning market-leading pay ratesProCare Therapy is working with a school district in Downey, California to hire a certified deaf + hard of hearing teacher for the current 24-25 school year. This position will be full time and will pay up to $48/hour
What youll do:
- Work witha K-12 caseload of deaf/hard of hearing students with a range of hearing support needs.
- Work full time hours, up to 37.5 hours per week.
- Participate in IEP meetings and help make recommendations for students.
- Build rapport and trust with the childrenyou work with.
- Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Support other relevant staff to help students achieve their goals.
At ProCare Therapy, we support you by:
- Listening to your needs and preferences before matching you with assignments.
- Providing you your very own designated ProCare Therapy recruiter. Your recruiterwill be with you every step of the way and throughout the duration of your assignment.
- Doing 1:1 check-ins and discussing school feedback with you, positive and constructive.

- Pay rate will vary depending on your level of experience + the school districts allotted contracting budget.

- You will be reimbursed up to $150 for any expensesrelated to your state's compliance requirements.
Application requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree required.
- California Special Education certification required.
- Active California Deaf + Hard of Hearing teaching endorsementrequired
- Availability to work 7am - 4pm.
- Two references with one by a previous direct supervisor/manager.
- Background check, drug screen + fingerprinting.
- TB test within 60 days of start date(only applicable in certain states).
Youll stand out if you have:
- Experience working in schools.
- Spent time in special education settings.
- Any SpEd-specific training or certifications.
