LHH is seeking an HR Generalist for a direct hire position in Dublin, VA The ideal candidate has 3+ years of HR experience within a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of employment laws. This position is fully in office Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity.
Oversee all aspects of the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting comprehensive orientations that cover safety training and company policies.
Ensure proper management of employee benefits, including accurate enrollment processing, life event changes, and addressing employee inquiries.
Coordinate recruitment activities such as posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews with hiring managers.
Manage employee files and provide information to authorized personnel in response to inquiries.
Gather and compile data from HRIS to generate reports for management, tracking key metrics related to employee performance, turnover, and benefits.
Complete and review background checks, E-Verify (I9), and other required employment documentation to ensure compliance.
Support payroll processing by computing wages and recording relevant data as needed.
Administer and track employee leave requests, including FMLA, STD, LTD, and ADA, ensuring proper documentation and benefit payback monitoring.
Complete assignments and tasks with minimal supervision, assisting with HR projects as required.
Assist with the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, as well as coordinating employee training initiatives.
Handle IT access requests for new and current employees, and manage the creation of employee, contractor, vendor, and visitor badges.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and other HR-related tools.
Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
