Make a Difference One Hour at a Time: Occupational Therapist (Part-Time, 1:1 Offsite) - Soliant Education (Buffalo Grove, IL Area)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) seeking a rewarding opportunity to provide individualized support to an external student in a flexible, part-time role?

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Buffalo Grove, IL area This unique, part-time (1 hour per week) position for the 2024-2025 school year offers a chance to make a significant impact on the life of a student by providing one-on-one, offsite occupational therapy services.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct an initial evaluation to assess the student's specific needs and goals related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care skills, and overall functional independence.
  • Develop and implement an individualized treatment plan based on the student's needs and the educational setting.
  • Provide one-on-one occupational therapy sessions in a location convenient for the student (e.g., home, therapy clinic) to address identified needs and promote functional skills development.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the student's care to ensure a cohesive support system is in place.
  • Document progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed to maximize the student's success.

Qualifications:

  • Illinois State License as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L).
  • Prior experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting or related field is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention planning, and therapy delivery for children with a variety of needs.
  • Excellent munication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with the student, parents, and other professionals involved in the student's care.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks within a flexible schedule.
