Una empresa de servicio y reparación especializada en bombas y equipos rotativos está contratando a un maquinista manual. Este puesto implica trabajar en el taller para reacondicionar bombas desde el campo según planos y dibujos. El maquinista manejará bombas de carcasa partida, bombas en voladizo, bombas horizontales, bombas multietapa y más.
Responsabilidades
Realizar perforaciones en las líneas de las bombas.
Perforar, refrentar y cuadrar placas, placas base y piezas internas de la bomba, incluidos ejes, manguitos, anillos, impulsores, cabezales y carcasas.
Trabajar con dimensiones de piezas que van desde 4 pulgadas a 7 pies.
Manipular materiales de acero al carbono, acero inoxidable y bronce.
Crear acabados dentados para bridas, pasadores de cuadrante, cortar diámetros en diámetros internos y montar caras para cajas de cojinetes.
Trabajar en chaveteros y otras piezas complejas.
Habilidades esenciales
Más de 5 años de experiencia como maquinista manual.
Competencia en mecanizado de torno y fresado vertical (máquina Bridgeport).
Experiencia con perforaciones de líneas en bombas.
Capacidad para leer e interpretar planos.
Experiencia en piezas de bombas.
Competencia en el uso de micrómetros, calibradores, tornos manuales y otras herramientas de mecanizado.
Habilidades y calificaciones adicionales
Experiencia con torno de torreta vertical (VTL).
Amplia experiencia en mecanizado de piezas de bombas.
Capacidad para trabajar con tolerancias extremadamente estrictas.
Experiencia con piezas de turbinas o compresores.
Competencia en el funcionamiento de fresadoras de mandrilado horizontal (HBM).

Entorno de trabajo
El taller de tamaño mediano está muy concurrido y tiene repuestos y bombas por todas partes debido al alto volumen de negocios. El taller tiene aire acondicionado, pero poco espacio; hay planes de mudarse a una instalación más grande en 2024 o 2025. El turno de día incluye 7 maquinistas manuales, 10 mecánicos de bombas y 1 soldador, mientras que el turno de noche tiene 3 maquinistas manuales, 8 mecánicos de bombas y 1 soldador. Los empleados suelen usar botas con punta de acero, jeans, camisas de trabajo y anteojos de seguridad. El turno de noche funciona de lunes a viernes de 3:30 p. m. a 2:30 a. m. y los sábados de 2:00 p. m. a 10:00 p. m., con dos descansos pagos y un almuerzo no pago. El puesto implica trabajar de 50 a 60 horas por semana, con domingos ocasionales de doble jornada.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $44.00
