Overview
ProCare Therapy is hiring a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time Kindergarten ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) position in the Bronx, NY, for the 2024-2025 school year. This role involves collaboration with a General Education Teacher to support students with mild disabilities in a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

Position Details

  • Grade Level: Kindergarten
  • Type: ICT Classroom (Integrated Co-Teaching)
  • Students: Starting with 2 students, with more added as IEPs are developed
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (includes 1-hour lunch)
  • Focus: Mild disabilities, no major behavioral concerns

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with General Education Teachers to deliver inclusive instruction
  • Adapt lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning needs
  • Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment

Qualifications

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in New York (required)
  • Experience with ICT or co-teaching environments (preferred)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
