Job Description

The 1st shift janitor position is a very active role This candidate will be cleaning the Industrial Facility in multiple areas weekly, including offices, hallways, cleanrooms, staircases, storage rooms, restrooms, and the café. Duties consist of dusting, sweeping, mopping, operating a floor scrubber, and replacing trash bins. The facility has an elevator for equipment use only; transportation will involve using the steps. Cleanrooms require extensive cleaning and maintenance, necessitating a body suit, glasses, and hood for entry. Tasks in the cleanroom include using a backpack vacuum, sterile mop, and bucket to clean countertops and floors. The department conducts a 'Purge' event for cleanroom cleaning, with weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks. Additional duties include replacing sticky mats at cleanroom doors and cleaning microwaves, fridges, and countertops in the café.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Work Environment

Working inside an Industrial Facility with 2 floors, labs, office space, restrooms, and storage space. Mainly working independently, but occasionally with partners for certain tasks. 1st Shift: 9am - 5:30pm (Could be earlier) Mon-Fri. 3rd Shift: 10pm - 6:30am Sun-Thurs. OT: 0-5 hrs. PPE: Closed-toed shoes and khakis or nice pants. All cleaning and protective equipment provided for cleanrooms.
