Special Education Teacher Consultant

Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Educator looking for a rewarding teaching opportunity for the second half of the 24/25 school year? ProCare Therapy is actively searching for a Special Education Teacher to join one of our trusted school districts situated in the vibrant community of Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsiblefor supporting teachers to support their students while also providing direct services to students up to three times a week.

Job Description

  • Full time or Part time
  • 24-32 hours per week
  • ASAP start - end of school year
  • Caseload size: up to 25 students
  • Ages K-12
  • 2 school sites (plus a small virtual caseload)
  • This is a Teacher Consultant position for a fully inclusive district, so the main focus is on supporting teachers to support students with disabilities in a general education classroom.
  • The TC will also provide direct services up to 4 times a week amongst the 3 school sites
  • The TC will be the case manager for many of the students on their caseload

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or higher
  • Active MI Teaching License
  • TC Certification in Special Education
  • Able to develop and implement IEPs while coordinating with internal departments
  • Comfortable collaborating with other teachers and staff to achieve student success
  • Experience working with students with multiple disabilities
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check

Interview Process

  • 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter
  • 30 mins-1 hrvirtual/in-person interview with school district
  • Offer is typically within 24 hours of virtual interview

As a ProCare employee, you will be paid on a weekly basis through direct deposit. Your hourly rate will be dependent upon your experience and education.
