Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality infusion therapy to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the treatment process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care. This position may involve travel nursing opportunities, allowing for diverse experiences in various healthcare settings.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Clinic Details: this location has 12 chairs. Each nurse will see 8-12 patients a day. There are 2 other RNs and an LVN assisting here as well

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as an RN
  • Infusion experience ideally in oncology or a critical care unit
  • Experience accessing ports and excellent IV skills

Responsibilities

  • Administer intravenous (IV) medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients during infusion treatments, observing for any adverse reactions or complications.
  • Document medical information accurately in patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Educate patients and their families about infusion procedures, potential side effects, and aftercare instructions.
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards within the infusion setting.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and outcomes.
