We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team near Satanta,Kansas. This role focuses on working with middle school students in a high-needs setting, supporting those with multiple disabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Provide differentiated instruction in both small group and 1-on-1 settings.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet the developmental levels of students.
  • Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Communicate regularly with families to provide updates and involve them in the educational process.
Qualifications:
  • Required:
    • Valid Kansas teaching license with a special education endorsement.
    • Experience working with students with multiple disabilities in a school setting.
    • Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and adaptive technology.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in middle school settings.
    • Knowledge of evidence-based practices for teaching students with significant needs.
