Job DescriptionCurrently hiring for shift Mechanical Assemblers. This company builds and manufactures workout/gym equipment including ellipticals, weight racks, tension weight machines (like a BowFlex), and many others. Employees are responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks required to assemble, prep sub-assemblies, and move completed units. There are 32 different machines they are responsible for assembling. HEAVY LIFTING INVOLVED.
1st: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM M-TH
2nd: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM M-TH
OT will run on Fridays AND Saturdays and it is mandatory when posted - must be okay with working OT
Responsibilities- Complete assembly of various models of machines following established procedures.
- Move machines as required.
- Verify completed machines meet quality standards and initial paperwork.
- Use a manual and electric pallet jack.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Ability to bend, twist, or turn repeatedly throughout the shift.
- 12 months of previous relevant working experience.
- Ability to work with power tools or hand tools, mechanically inclined.
- Good work history, even if it is not in manufacturing.
This is a manufacturing facility and is not air-conditioned, so it will get hot in the summer. However, it is the newest part of the building and is fairly nice, very well-lit with skylights, and organized. Employees are trained on multiple assembly lines and must be versatile. The work is done in 'assembly pods' composed of roughly 3-4 people where they will assemble certain machines. They will learn one 'pod/cell' at a time and then cross-train into the other areas. It is a very team-oriented environment.
