Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverview: LHH is seeking an experienced corporate paralegal to join the Legal team of a global client. This role involves supporting various legal functions by organizing, reviewing, and processing corporate documents, contributing to the smooth operations of the department. The ideal candidate will possess strong judgment, communication, and organizational skills, along with a solid background in in-house legal environments.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with corporate governance for global entities, including entity management, filings, and record keeping.
- Support the Chief Legal Officer and Secretary with Board-related duties, such as drafting agendas, collecting signatures, and maintaining resolutions.
- Manage the intellectual property portfolio, including conducting initial trademark searches and gathering materials for renewals.
- Provide support for standard corporate agreements, including non-disclosure, sales, logistics, and independent contractor agreements, involving initial drafting and review under the supervision of the Chief Legal Officer and Secretary.
- Assist with documentation related to corporate restructurings, such as mergers, formations, and dissolutions.
- Draft Powers of Attorney and oversee activities to apostille, legalize, and consularize documents for global affiliates, agencies, and lenders.
- Offer light administrative support to the Legal team as needed.
- Collaborate with other members of the executive team on special projects and initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience supporting in-house legal departments is required.
- North Carolina notary certification required.
- A Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with the Board, CEO, and Executive Team.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and multitasking skills.
- Superior prioritization skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Sharp analytical skills and sound judgment for navigating complex issues.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Trustworthiness and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with virtual data rooms for document organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Details:
- Employment Type: Direct Hire
- Compensation: up to $110,000 annually
- Benefits provided by company.
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
