Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team near Altamont, OR 97603. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to support the academic and personal growth of students with diverse learning needs in a weling and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure the IEP effectively supports the student's progress.
  • Direct Instruction: Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs, ensuring they have access to the general education curriculum. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and strategies to acmodate different learning styles.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assess and monitor student progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to instruction and IEPs. Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide feedback to parents and staff.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with general education teachers to plan and deliver differentiated instruction in both inclusive and resource settings. Offer consultation and support to teachers on best practices for acmodating students with special needs.
  • Behavior Management: Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to address behavioral challenges and promote positive behaviors. Use evidence-based strategies to support students' social and emotional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Oregon teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and best practices in inclusive education.
  • Excellent munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
