Purchasing Manager – Manufacturing

Liberty Personnel is working with a global manufacturing client who has an exciting and highly visible opportunity available for an experienced Purchasing Manager with Manufacturing Industry expertise. Experience with purchasing materials for a manufacturing facility are key.

Responsibilities

• Manage the purchasing, inventory and warehousing of materials for manufacturing production.
• Manage inventories along with Operations Manager to ensure production schedules are met.
• Manage in house purchasing team and related warehouse staff.
• Review vendor prices, products, and services.

• Negotiate with vendors to ensure reasonable pricing
• Manage supplier contracts and agreements to ensure on time product delivery and availability.

Experience / Background Required

• Bachelor's degree, Supply Chain preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Purchasing.
• Supervisory experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Purchasing experience for a manufacturing facility.
• MRP systems experience.
• CPIM certification.
