Job Title: Inspector - Fabrication/Assembly I4
Job Type: Full-time; Consultant (3 months)
Location: Wichita, KS 67210
Schedule: Monday to Friday; Must be available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift operations
Pay Rate: 41.89 per hour

Job Description:

Level B Responsibilities:

  1. Inspection & Interpretation: Use and interpret drawings, inspection manuals, specifications, and shop mathematics, alongside precision measuring instruments and specialized inspection equipment to accomplish tasks.

  2. Quality System Familiarity: Apply knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance and maintain standards.

  3. Company Procedures: Demonstrate working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and specifications.

  4. Production Processes: Maintain an understanding of overall production processes to support quality inspection functions.

  5. Communication & Coordination: Engage with other departments or customer representatives as required to coordinate tasks and accomplish work.

  6. Communication Skills: Display effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.

  7. Computing Skills: Demonstrate proficiency with computer systems to perform inspections and record results.

  8. Testing & Recording: Operate testing machines, calculate results, and document outcomes accurately.

  9. Certifications: Maintain required certifications relevant to the inspection tasks.

  10. Planning & Execution: Plan and determine your own sequence of operations to complete tasks effectively.

  11. Inspection Procedures: Follow shop procedures to accept or reject parts, processes, and assemblies.

  12. Tool Verification: Verify tool qualifications and ensure they meet required standards.

  13. Quality Records: Prepare and maintain quality records to support documentation and compliance.

  14. Flexible Work: Work across equivalent or lower-level inspector job codes as needed.

  15. Cross-training: Participate in cross-training for equivalent-level roles in assembly, composites, metals, processes, and system/payload structures mechanics.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work any shift as required.

  • Experience with quality management systems and company procedures.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and record-keeping skills.

  • Technical proficiency with tools, testing machines, and computers.

  • Commitment to maintaining required certifications.



Pay Details: 41.89 per hour
