Blazer Jobs is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school district in Westwood, MA. We are actively interviewing for this full-time role and are looking for candidates who meet all local and state requirements.

Qualifications

To apply, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a valid state Special Education Teacher certification.

  • Possess a bachelors or masters degree in Special Education or a related field.

  • Pass all required background checks and clearances as mandated by the state.

  • Demonstrated experience working with students who have diverse learning needs is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Special Education Teacher may include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  • Providing specialized instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of students.

  • Collaborating with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff members to support student success.

  • Conducting assessments and progress monitoring to guide instructional decisions.

  • Supporting students in achieving academic, social, and emotional goals.

  • Maintaining communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
