Job Description

Pay: $25-$28/hr Depending on Experience

1st Shift: 7a-3:30p Monday-Friday

We are looking for an experienced welder with over 5 years of welding experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in setting up and maintaining welding equipment and performing TIG and/or MIG welding in accordance with supplied instructions.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain welding equipment.
  • Perform TIG and/or MIG welding in accordance with supplied instructions.
  • Use fixtures or table setups as necessary using clamps or angle plates to produce the correct shapes and dimensions.
  • Work to tight tolerances.
  • Perform welding in the best sequence to minimize warpage and distortion.
  • Repair or rework parts to restore to required tolerances after warpage or distortion resulting from manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in other areas of the shop including grinding, straightening, and metal finishing to meet final product finish requirements.
  • Use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring gauges and equipment to check physical dimensions, tolerances, and visual conditions of parts for acceptance or rejection.
  • Read blueprint designs for precision sheet metal drawings.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of welding experience.
  • Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding.
  • Experience in sheet metal welding and fabrication.
  • Ability to read blueprint designs.
  • Skilled in using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring gauges.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with stainless steel welding and fabrication.
  • Relevant schooling or certifications.
  • Experience welding in all positions.

Work Environment

The shop is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including laser cutting, a graphics department, and a powder-coating system. The work environment includes CNC press brakes and other sheet metal fabrication equipment, all of which are Amada brand. Safety gear such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection are provided by the company.

This is a Permanent position based out of New Freedom, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/hr.
