Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicatedSpecial Education Teacherto join a school district inThe Dalles, OR. Thisfull-timerole will be working in anelementary resource roomsupporting students in grades K-5. The position starts immediately and runs through the rest of the school year.
Job Details:
- Role:Special Education Teacher Elementary Resource Room
- Schedule:Full-Time, Monday Friday
- Caseload:Elementary students in a resource room setting (K-5)
- Duration:Immediate start through the end of the school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction in the resource room
- Develop and implementIndividualized Education Plans (IEPs)for students
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive education for students with special needs
- Track student progress, adjust learning plans, and report on outcomes
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school-related events
- Manage student behavior and provide additional support as necessary
Qualifications:
- Required:ValidOregon Teaching Licensewith appropriateSpecial Education Endorsements
- Preferred:Experience teaching in a resource room setting (new graduates are welcome to apply)
