- Contact customers via phone, email, and mail to collect overdue payments.
- Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts and follow up on outstanding debts.
- Negotiate payment plans and offer solutions to settle debts.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer communication and payment status.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as sales and accounting to resolve billing disputes.
- Review and monitor accounts for credit risk, escalating unresolved issues as necessary.
- Prepare reports on collection activities, account status, and aging of receivables.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations related to debt collection.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in collections, customer service, or a related role.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with relevant laws such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collections software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
