Location: Grand Junction, CO

Type: Full-Time Contract Position

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 10 Hour Shifts, Evening Shift

Job Description:

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week contract position in Grand Junction, CO. This evening shift role, with 10-hour shifts, provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform Ultrasound Procedures:

    • Conduct a variety of Ultrasound procedures utilizing high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis.
    • Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and request accurate clinical history as necessary for exams.
    • Review patient history and determine proper protocol selection.
    • Explain examination methods, position patients, and assess their status and needs.
    • Complete appropriate diagnostic techniques/tests to ascertain the patients condition and perform necessary interventions.

  2. Review and Evaluate Tests:

    • Review and evaluate completed tests for quality, completeness, and accuracy.
    • Ensure quality images and coordinate the preparation of images/exams and necessary documentation for physician partners.

  3. Documentation and Communication:

    • Document and communicate patient-related information thoroughly and accurately.
    • Inform patients of physicians instructions or ancillary caregivers observations or concerns and consider these in providing appropriate care.
    • Meet the needs of patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team through effective communication, coordination, and documentation ensuring safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency.
    • Ensure safe and effective hand-off between shifts by communicating clearly with the oncoming shift.

  4. Monitor Equipment:

    • Monitor equipment reliability and safety, report issues and/or repairs or service due.
    • Order and stock supplies, clean rooms, and equipment to maintain the work environment.
    • Transport patients as needed.

  5. Quality Initiatives:

    • Actively participate in quality initiatives, including patient satisfaction, patient care, and workflow improvements.

  6. Promote Mission and Values:

    • Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abide by service behavior standards.

  7. Additional Duties:

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • ARDMS certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital setting.
  • Valid Colorado state license in Ultrasound Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Ability to travel to and from the workplace.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen in accordance with Joint Commission standards.
  • Strong understanding of ultrasound safety protocols.
  • Excellent technical skills in operating ultrasound equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high standards of patient care and professionalism.

Pay Range:

  • $1900-2100 weekly, dependent on experience.
