About the Position:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated School Paraprofessional to join our team in Wyoming,MI, for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position involves providing support to teachers and assisting students in the classroom, focusing on those with unique learning needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to create a welcoming, positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing lessons and managing classroom activities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students
  • Help manage classroom behavior and foster a safe, supportive learning space
  • Support students with daily activities, including engagement and organization
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to meet students individualized needs

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a school or child-centered environment is a plus
  • Strong communication, patience, and adaptability skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
