As a CVT in the Internal Medicine department, you be responsible for the following duties:
- Providing compassionate care and monitoring for animals admitted to the Internal Medicine department.
- Assist with a variety of diagnostic procedures.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering guidance on their animal's condition and treatment options.
- Monitoring anesthetic procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure equipment is properly maintained and sterilized.
- Assist veterinarians during procedures such as biopsies, aspiration cytology, endoscopies and more.
- Collaborate closely with other veterinary professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Advocate for the well-being of patients, ensuring they receive appropriate care and treatment.
- Other duties as assigned.
About You:
- Be able to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community
- Have a positive outlook, and are able to work well in a collaborative environment.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills
- Have a passion for providing the highest quality in patient care and the ability to deliver exceptional client service.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in an animal hospital setting required.
- CVT or VTS preferred but not required.
Schedule and Compensation:
- 4/10 hour weekday shifts
- Must be able to work some holidays
- Hourly pay starts at $21/hr and may be higher depending on experience and qualifications.
