Currently seeking a Welder to join our Houston, TX (Hobby Airport) location.

Responsibilities of the Welder include, but are not limited to:

  • Flux core , Mig, tig, sub -arc
  • Pipe, steel, and stainless steel welding , various metals
  • Pipe fitting, structural fitting
  • GTAW , FCAW, GMAW,
  • Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job
  • Plans details of working procedure, tools and material requirements
  • Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals
  • Repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment
  • Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded
  • Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts
  • Builds up worn or defective surfaces
  • Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape
  • Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly
  • Structural fitting, channel/ square tubing, coping beams

Qualifications of the Welder include, but are not limited to:

  • 5 years of welding experience. Must have GTAW , FCAW, GMAW. Will be tested on all 3.
  • Familiar with iron worker, plasma cutter, and grinders , torch , gauging welds
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints

Addition:

Physical Demand: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.

Working Conditions: Shop Environment
Training/Certifications: N/A
Shift Time/Overtime: Day shift from 6am to 2:30pm with some overtime Monday – Friday and some Saturdays 6am to 12 noon.
Travel: N/A
Education: HS Diploma or GED
