Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team for our1st and 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in precision machining operations and will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating various machine tools. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to multitask and cross-train on all machines.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto the machine.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, or other measuring instruments.
  • Document actions by completing required paperwork, including inspection documents and travelers.
  • Perform minor mechanical and assembly work as needed.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of machining experience with advanced knowledge of machining operations and tolerances.
  • Understanding of basic math and geometric tolerances.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering plans, procedure manuals, and work instructions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Must possess own tools.
  • Willingness to multitask and cross-train on all machines.

Work Environment

The work environment is a very clean machine shop with all new equipment. The day shift runs 6am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday, night shift operates from 4pm to 2:30am, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays as needed. The shop primarily uses mills, but there is a mixture of mills and lathes.
