Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDrafter: Hudson, WIOur customer in Hudson, Wisconsin is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. They are seeking motivated individuals to join their team who can contribute to the overall success of the company. Responsibilities of the Drafter:- Create drawings using SolidWorks software and produce mechanical drawings from 2D & 3D drawings.
- Prepare detailed drawings of intricate design components or units from layout drawings.
- Construct prototypes and confirm designs with Design/Purchasing team.
- Research materials required for projects.
- Prepare bill of materials, shop drawings and programming for flame cut parts.
- Prepare job packets for all production departments.
- Organize and maintain existing design records.
- Calculate dimensions and specify standard allowances when not stated.
- College, technical school, or 3-6 months related experience preferred
- Must be proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred
- Ability to read blueprints preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required
- Intermediate mathematical skills required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills required
- Metal fabrication, welding or machine shop background preferred
