We are currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team and serve students in the Bakersville, NC area.
Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and passionate Occupational Therapist to work full-time throughout the school year. This role involves providing therapy services to students to help them develop or regain daily living skills and enhance their ability to participate in academic and extracurricular activities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' needs and develop individualized therapy plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve students' motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' educational and developmental goals.
- Document progress and modify therapy plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid North Carolina Occupational Therapy license or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff.
