YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Workforce Development trainer will focus on work force development for various   project sites. This includes facilitating on-boarding duties, perform skills assessments and skills training for new hires, hands-on skills training, in-person classroom setting electrical knowledge training.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Train Foremen, Journeymen, and Apprentices on electrical skills in classroom setting or hands-on training. Facilitate during on-boarding assisting the Safety department and admins following our on-boarding workflow and covering job specific needs. Manage new hires. Train employees on the following:

  • Rosendin policies & procedures
  • Single line training/LOTO
  • Conduit bending skills
  • Electrical rough-in
  • Wire pulling
  • Means and methods
  • Workshop table skills training
  • On-boarding training (Code of Excellence, Core values, Pre-Task Work Plan)
  • NFPA-70E Awareness & Qualified Person
  • Leadership skills

Identify potential system problems and escalate to other departments as necessary for resolution. Resolve issues with customer service skills, problem solving skills, technical thinking, and reasoning skills. The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position's role within the business unit.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Technical knowledge of mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of standard Microsoft software applications.
  • Must be able to learn and implement new applications.
  • Ability to stay on task when working independently.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, and others.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

  • A combination of education, training, and relevant experience
  • Construction industry knowledge is required.
  • Journeyman wireman
  • Comfortable speaking in front of others
  • Management level experience preferred

TRAVEL: 80 - 90%

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
  • We fully comply with the ADA and applicable state law, including considering reasonable accommodation measures that may enable qualified disabled applicants and employees to perform essential functions.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
