Job Description:

We are looking for a machine operator to run a pipe cutting machine. The role involves using a variety of tools, including hand torches, track torches, beveling machines, and the WATTS machine for plasma cutting. Responsibilities include measuring the joints of pipes before cutting, assembling and fitting materials into assemblies according to drawings, and maintaining the cutting machines while keeping the work area clean and organized.

Job Overview:

  • Pay: $18-20 per hour
  • Shift: Morning shift
  • Location: Jacksonville, FL

Responsibilities:

  • Cutting: Use a variety of tools, including hand torches, track torches, beveling machines, and the WATTS machine for plasma cutting
  • Measuring: Measure the joints of pipes before cutting
  • Assembling: Assemble and fit materials into assemblies according to drawings
  • Maintaining: Maintain the cutting machines and keep the work area clean and organized
  • Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, prints, and work orders
  • Operating: Operate overhead cranes to lift and place pipes
  • Working independently: Work independently or as part of a crew
