Are you a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) seeking a rewarding position in Melrose Park, IL? We have a full-time role available for the 2024-2025 school year. This position involves providing essential speech and language services to elementary students in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Melrose Park, IL
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Days: Monday through Friday
Start Date: August 12, 2024
End Date: May 30, 2025
Caseload: Elementary students
Focus: Co-teaching and supporting the ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) program
Role Overview:
- Position: Full-time role with responsibilities centered on elementary students, including co-teaching and providing support within the ASD program.
- Caseload: Deliver speech and language services to a diverse group of elementary students, focusing on individualized and group therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Therapy Services: Provide direct and indirect therapy services, including co-teaching and working with students in the ASD program.
- Evaluations: Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' speech and language needs.
- IEP Development: Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on creating and implementing individualized education plans.
- Consultations: Engage with teachers and parents to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and experience with elementary-aged students, especially those in an ASD program.
