Maintenance Technician, Temple, TX

Weekly Pay up to $38/hr

Description

Responsible for installing, trouble-shooting, repairing, and general maintenance of mechanical systems of plant/production machinery. Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical problems of plant machinery. Perform maintenance function and troubleshoot to correct inefficiencies and prevent equipment downtime by completing regular PMs. Work within specifications and drawings, responsible for ensuring completion, minimizing waste within set dates and times. Ensure the maintenance and preventive maintenance of corrugating plant process equipment to achieve world class results; ensure all equipment is running properly and meets operational requirement. Work with maintenance crew to carry out maintenance and repair projects in mechanical, fabrication, plumbing, welding functions. Other corrective and preventive maintenance duties to be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Perform maintenance and electrical function and troubleshoot to correct inefficiencies and prevent equipment downtime by completing regular PM's.

Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical problems of plant machinery.

Ensure the maintenance and preventive maintenance of corrugating plant process equipment to achieve world-class results; ensure all equipment is running properly and meets operational requirements.

Follow all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned.

Work within specifications and drawings, responsible for ensuring completion, and minimizing waste within set dates & times.

Other corrective and preventive maintenance duties to be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

o Installing a robot at some point that will take on a lot of the human operator process

Additional Skills & Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of technical school education and experience.


• MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS PAPER CORRUGATOR/MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED; overall maintenance functions


• Working knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Systems, computers in an industrial environment including hardware, software configuration and troubleshooting, network configuration and troubleshooting


• Ability to read schematics and trouble-shoot various pneumatic, hydraulic systems, PLC's and motors


• Knowledge of computer and automated machines.


• Strong maintenance, plumbing, electrical background (manufacturing preferred) in AC/DC motor control, troubleshooting, and electrical wiring codes.

Detail-oriented, organized and dependable with time management skills.

5+ years' experience with Electrical and Mechanical Systems, computers in an industrial environment including hardware, software & network configuration, and troubleshooting.

Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot various pneumatic, hydraulic systems, working knowledge of PLC's and motors.

Knowledge of computer and automated machines.

Strong maintenance electrical background (manufacturing preferred) in AC/DC motor control, troubleshooting, and electrical wiring codes.

Excellent people skills and communication, both verbal and written.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong work ethic with an emphasis on safety.

Computer competence and experience with the Microsoft suite.

An energetic, motivated, and dependable worker who is dedicated to the job and team.

The ability to function as a mature, professional individual, who interacts positively with teammates.
