These positions are located in Memphis, TN

Description:

  • Under the direction of the Director or designee, provides leadership and technical expertise, coordinates workflow, manages staff scheduling and payroll functions, and performs training and quality activities
  • Ensures that testing is completed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies and procedures
  • Performs the essential functions of the Medical Technologist
  • The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the duties and responsibilities performed within this classification
  • Supervises the employees of assigned area ensuring efficiency of workflow and continuity of services
  • Ensures completion of employee departmental orientation, competency testing, compliance training and other mandatory instructions
  • Ensures efficiency and productivity by monitoring the production status and directing the workflow and people resources to meet deadlines and standards
  • Provides oversight and supervision of Lab Assistants, Lab Technicians, Medical Technologists and Med Tech Leads
  • Participates in validations, projects and monitoring key performance indicators
  • Provides leadership and technical expertise for the department helping to resolve issues associated with protocol, equipment, interpretation of test results and system interfaces
  • Performs Medical Technologist bench work as needed

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must be a licensed Medical Technologist and possess a TN Supervisors license OR be eligible for TN State Supervisor's License

Must hold active ASCP or AMT Certification
