Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a full-time contract position in Calabasas, CA. This school-based role encompasses the summer school program and extends into the new school year, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development and well-being of special education students and their families. To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements set by local and state regulations, with a strong preference for experience working with special education students and families.

Requirements:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
  • Previous experience working with special education students and their families preferred.
  • Familiarity with local and state regulations governing school-based physical therapy services.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Dedication to providing comprehensive care and support to students.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students' physical therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' goals and objectives.
  • Deliver direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in their individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to teachers and staff regarding students' physical therapy needs.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of services provided and student progress.
  • Participate actively in meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities as required.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines in all aspects of practice.
