Robert Half is looking for a dynamic and accomplished Buyer to join a well-established organization in Colorado Springs. This is a crucial role focusing on the procurement of materials, parts, equipment and supplies vital to product manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
• Schedule and oversee the delivery of components in line with production plans.
• Monitor inventory of assigned production parts/materials to meet management directives.
• Establish standard costs for assigned production parts/materials.
• Assist in the selection of vendors/suppliers and maintain primary contact.
• Address any issues related to assigned production parts/materials, equipment, or supplier orders. • Implement buying processes and procurement strategies to improve supply chain management.
• Coordinate delivery schedules to ensure on-time arrival of materials and parts.
• Understand and control inventory cycles to avoid shortages or surplus stock.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of procurement procedures, specifically in the manufacturing industry, along with excellent negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a desire to build successful vendor relationships. • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a buying role within the Manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Buying Processes is required for this role.
• The candidate should have strong knowledge and experience in Procurement.
• Demonstrated expertise in Supply Chain Management is essential.
• Ability to manage and coordinate Delivery Schedules effectively.
• Understanding and experience in managing Inventory Cycles.
• Knowledge of Cost - Standard is an important requirement for this position.
• Demonstrated skills in Vendor Management are crucial for this role.
• Experience in drafting and managing Supplier Agreements.
• Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
