We are a leading financial services organization seeking to hire a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. This is an exciting and unique opportunity, as the HR Generalist selected for this role will be groomed and developed for an HR Director position within the company over the next five years. The successful HR Generalist applicant will have prior experience handling a wide range of HR duties, including but not limited to employee relations, payroll, and benefits administration.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate employee relations, providing resolution to employee relations issues as they arise.
  • Administer payroll processes for both salaried and hourly workforce.
  • Lead benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and other benefits.
  • Provide guidance on employment law and compliance matters.
  • Conduct HR-related training and workshops as required.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive work environment.
  • Participate in succession planning and talent management strategy.
  • Carry out administrative work involving HR initiatives including staff development, performance management, and employee onboarding.
  • Ad hoc projects supporting the HR Director for strategic planning

• Minimum of three years of experience working as an HR Generalist or similar role

• Proficiency in managing employee benefit functions

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral

• In-depth understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in HR

• Proven experience in managing employee relations effectively

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred

• Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus

• Familiarity with HRIS and payroll software.
